Description of Plot
Top Panel
The top panel has three traces. The green line is the temperature in
degrees Fahrenheit. The red line is the dew point temperature, also
in degrees Fahrenheit. The scale for both of these traces is on the left.
The relative humidity is plotted in blue with the scale on the right.
The time and values for the most recent observations are printed to the
right of the plot. The minimum temperature for today, the time of the
minimum, and the minimum temperature for yesterday are printed on the
right in magenta. The values for the maximum temperatures are
printed in orange. All times are in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
Subtract seven hours to convert to Mountain Standard Time and subtract
six hours to convert to Mountain Daylight Time.
Middle Panel
The middle panel has three traces. The altimeter setting is plotted in
blue with the scale on the left. The values are in inches of Mercury.
The total sky radiation is plotted in green with the scale on the right.
The units for radiation are Watts per square meter. Finally, the daily
accumulated precipitation is plotted in magenta. The scale is on the
far right and the units are inches. The values printed on the right
side are the actual pressure in millibars, the altimeter setting,
and the total sky radiation. The values in magenta are the daily
accumulated precipitation for today, the total yesterday, the total since
the system was initialized, and the day the system was initialized.
This day is the Julian day of the year with January 1 being day number 1.
Bottom Panel
The bottom panel also has three traces. The average wind speed in knots
is plotted in green. The peak wind speed in plotted in blue. The
scale for both of these is on the right. The wind direction is plotted
in red with the scale on the left. The values printed on the right
are the current average wind speed, the peak wind for the last period,
the peak wind for today, and time which the peak wind occurred.
Time Axis
The day of the month/hour of the day are printed on the time axis. These
values are also in Coordinated Universal Time.
